The Cerulean Bay sits on a quiet side street off Marine Drive, close enough that you can hear the sea once the traffic thins after midnight. It is a four-storey building from the 1970s that was stripped back and rebuilt in 2022, so the bones are old Bombay and the plumbing is not.
Rooms are generous by South Mumbai standards, between 280 and 420 square feet, with blackout curtains, a proper writing desk and a marble bathroom with strong pressure. Sea-facing rooms cost about fifteen per cent more and are worth it; the city-view rooms look onto the back lane and are the quieter choice.
Breakfast runs until 10:30 and is a mixed Indian and continental buffet with an omelette station. There is a small rooftop bar that closes at 23:00, and the front desk is staffed around the clock. Churchgate station is a nine-minute walk, and a taxi to BKC takes anywhere between thirty and sixty minutes depending on when you leave.
Practical notes: check-in from 14:00, check-out by 11:00. Cancellation is moderate: free up to 72 hours before check-in, then part of the booking is charged. Unmarried couples are welcome with valid ID. Pets are not allowed. Local photo IDs are accepted at the desk. GST of 12% is added at checkout and shown as a separate line before you pay.
