Morjim Riverside Homestay is four rooms in a Portuguese-era house on the Chapora river, run by the owners with two members of staff. Mornings here are birds and boat engines; evenings are the river turning orange and then dark. Each room has a queen bed, air conditioning, a fan, a wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with a geyser. The two river-facing rooms have French windows and share a balcony. There are no televisions, by choice, and the WiFi reaches the rooms but not the garden. Breakfast is cooked by the family and included, usually poi, eggs, fruit and very good coffee. Lunch and dinner can be arranged with a few hours' notice. Morjim beach is a six-minute drive, and the house keeps two bicycles and a kayak for guests to use. Practical notes: check-in from 14:00, check-out by 11:00. Cancellation is moderate: free up to 72 hours before check-in, then part of the booking is charged. Unmarried couples are welcome with valid ID. Pets are allowed on request. Local photo IDs are accepted at the desk. GST of 12% is added at checkout and shown as a separate line before you pay.
